VP Education – Patrick Andriette, CPIM, CDDP

Patrick is a 2013 Graduate of Bowling Green State University, having earned his Bachelors of Business Administration with a specialization in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management.  During studies at BGSU, Patrick joined GKN Driveline’s AW/E-Drive facility in Bowling Green, Ohio as a supply chain intern.  In this role, Patrick was responsible for streamlining packaging solutions and developing JIT material flow to support production cells throughout the facility. After graduation from BGSU, Patrick remained with GKN and transitioned into the role of a materials planner. As a planner, Patrick was responsible for 60% of components within the site, with responsibilities around inventory management, and freight management. During this role, a focus on material flow and plant layouts were a main focus, implementing tugger train routes throughout the plant to improve line deliveries and reduce forklift traffic on the shop floor.

As of February 2017, Patrick transitioned to the role of Supply Chain Manager for GKN Bowling Green. In this role, he assumed full end to end supply chain responsibilities, budget responsibility, improvements in average stock turns by 1.5, freight spend reductions from 2.8% to 2.3%, while maintaining a 100% Delivery score to all customers. Key achievements within the first year in this role have included successful international container utilization projects, as well as negotiations and implementations of supplier consignment/VMI programs.

Patrick has been an APICS member since 2009, and as of August 2017, was elected to the Toledo board as VP of Education. Patrick holds the CPIM certification through APICS, CDDP certification through the Demand Driven Institute, and is a certified Six Sigma Green belt.

Patrick’s career aspirations include being a part of transforming the automotive industry into a sustainable electrified industry.
