President – Sheryl Holbrook CPIM, CSCP

Sheryl has been a member of APICS Toledo’s board of directors since 2009.  Prior to assuming her current role of President, she had served in a number of other board positions:  VP Programs; VP Student Liaison; VP Education; and Executive Vice President.

In addition to her board duties, Sheryl is also an APICS certification instructor for the Toledo chapter.  She has been a member of the APICS Instructor Development Program since 2011, and has been teaching CPIM certification classes since 2012.  Sheryl has been a CPIM Lead Instructor since 2014, and she also teaches the CSCP certification classes, as well as the APICS Principles of Operations Management courseware.  Sheryl has taught various classes at Bowling Green State University, The University of Toledo, and Owens Community College, and has also provided in-house certification training for MOBIS Toledo, MOBIS Detroit, Johns-Manville in Defiance, and Magna T.E.A.M. Systems.

Prior to becoming an APICS instructor, Sheryl had over 25 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, most recently as Materials Manager for Exothermics, Inc, a capital equipment manufacturer in Toledo, Ohio.  Sheryl was responsible for production materials planning; inventory control; vendor relations; and the sourcing and purchasing of all production materials, equipment, and supplies.

Sheryl holds the CSCP and CPIM certifications from APICS, and the C.P.M. certification from ISM (Institute of Supply Management).  Sheryl received both a BBA (1998) and an MBA (2009) in Operations Management from The University of Toledo.
