At the APICS International Conference in Washington, DC, APICS announced that in the second half of 2017 the current 5 module structure of the Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program would be revised to a 2 module structure.

Content of the current Basics of Supply Chain Management module will be enhanced and Modules 2 – 5 (Master Planning of Resources, Detailed Scheduling & Planning, Execution & Control of Operations and Strategic Management of Resources) will be revised with duplication removed and content updated.

Toledo Chapter Member Nominated to APICS Supply Chain Council Board

We are delighted to announce that Mike Bunge, CPIM, CSCP, Director of Global Sourcing at Libbey Inc., a 20 year member of APICS and former VP Publicity for the Toledo chapter, has been nominated to the Board of Directors of the APICS Supply Chain Council for a 3 year term starting January 1st 2017.

APICS announced its newest certification APICS Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) at the recent APICS 2015 International Conference in Las Vegas.

On April 30, 2014, APICS announced that the boards of directors of both APICS and Supply Chain Council have approved an agreement under which Supply Chain Council (SCC) will merge with APICS upon ratification by SCC member vote. The transaction is expected to be complete in mid-July.
