Executive Vice President – Sheryl Holbrook CPIM, CSCP.

Prior to becoming an APICS instructor, Sheryl had over 25 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, most recently as Materials Manager for Exothermics, Inc, a capital equipment manufacturer in Toledo, Ohio.  Sheryl was responsible for production materials planning; inventory control; vendor relations; and the sourcing and purchasing of all production materials, equipment, and supplies.  While at Exothermics, she implemented software solutions for optimizing the use of production materials, which reduced scrap factors by up to 18%, and she developed shop-floor plans and reports to facilitate the movement and control of materials through Production.


Sheryl completed her APICS instructor training in 2011, at which time she was accepted into the APICS Instructor Development Program.  She began teaching CPIM certification classes in 2012, and in 2014 she was awarded the designation of CPIM Lead Instructor.  She also teaches the CSCP certification classes, as well as the APICS Principles of Operations Management courseware.  Sheryl has taught various classes at Bowling Green State University, The University of Toledo, and Owens Community College, as well as numerous certification classes for the Toledo chapter of APICS.  She has also provided in-house certification training for MOBIS Toledo, MOBIS Detroit, and Johns-Manville in Defiance.


Sheryl holds the CSCP and CPIM certifications from APICS, and the C.P.M. certification from ISM (Institute of Supply Management).  Sheryl received both a BBA (1998) and an MBA (2009) in Operations Management from The University of Toledo.


She has been a member of APICS since 1991, and joined the Toledo chapter Board of Directors in 2009, where she is currently serving as VP Education and is responsible for arranging all of the chapter’s educational offerings.  Sheryl also works with the APICS student chapters at The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University, and she was the 2011 recipient of the APICS International Student Chapter Mentor Award.
