Please join ASCM Toledo Chapter and CIFT for this one-hour workshop on "Cycle Counting".  We are all aware of the problems we encounter when our inventory records aren't correct:  too much of the wrong items; not enough of the right items; late shipments; and expedited orders, just to name a few.  And, the complexity of today's global supply chains has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 Pandemic, leading to even longer lead-times and more extreme supply disruptions.

One way we can help mitigate these supply chain risks is to ensure that the inventory data we are sharing with our supply chain partners and internal decision-makers is as accurate as possible.  And, Cycle Counting is an effective tool for attaining that inventory accuracy.  Join this one-hour workshop to learn:

  • Benefits of Cycle Counting
  • Deciding What to Count and When
  • ABC Analysis
  • The Cycle Counting Process
  • Reconciling Differences
  • Implementing Cycle Counting

The workshop facilitator is Sheryl Holbrook, CPIM, CLTD, CSCP.  Prior to becoming an APICS instructor, Sheryl had over 25 years’ experience in the manufacturing sector, most recently as Materials Manager for a local capital equipment manufacturer. She was responsible for production materials planning; inventory control; vendor relations; and the sourcing and purchasing of all production materials, equipment, and supplies.  Sheryl is currently an APICS IDP instructor, and has been teaching APICS certification review classes for the APICS Toledo Chapter since 2012.  She has taught various classes at Bowling Green State University, The University of Toledo, and Owens Community College, and has also provided in-house training and certification classes for MOBIS Toledo, MOBIS Detroit, Magna T.E.A.M. Systems, and Johns-Manville in Defiance.  Sheryl has been a member of the APICS Toledo Chapter's Board of Directors since 2009, and is currently serving as President.
